Katz Coffee Giveaway

I love coffee. Almost as much as I love sweet, sugary, delicacies. It doesn’t matter if I’m drinking a burnt cup of McDonald’s coffee or an overpriced Starbucks. A black cup of coffee – in all its earthy, bitter, hot glory literally gets me goin. I can’t start my day without it. So when I found Katz Coffee and learned how they not only make darn good coffee but they’re also certified organic AND eco-conscious AND charitable, it was a win-win-win-win.

They work directly with farmers so there’s no need for a middle man or distributor to get the freshest coffee beans thus enabling them to “empower farmers to develop business capacity necessary to compete in the global marketplace”. They’re certified organic, don’t use pesticides, and they recycle/compost everything they can. I don’t know how you could feel any better about drinking a cup of coffee.

Oh wait….

Katz also has a Coffee Cause program in which they work with non-profit organizations throughout the community (since giving back to the community is one of their core values). And for every pound of Cause Coffees they sell 50 cents is (are?) donated to non-profit organizations. My favorite Cause Coffee is their Bayou Blend, which directly benefits our great city. Whenever you buy a Bayou Blend roast a portion of that purchase is donated to Buffalo Bayou conservation efforts which include improvement and increased community involvement along Buffalo Bayou.

Good coffee, good for the environment, good for global business, and good for Houston. That’s what led to this giveaway. Since I love coffee and I love Houston I figured I might as well do something to share the joy they both bring me. So GIVEAWAY RULES:
